Here at Cross Lane House - Small & Personable is our style!
We have three lovely en-suite rooms which have each been individually designed & equipped with your comfort in mind.
You should find everything you need in your room for a comfortable & relaxing stay with us, including a hair dryer, complimentary tea & coffee making facilities, bath robes & bath towels and our beautiful British made bathroom products by Bramley.
An Iron & Ironing Board is also available for you to use, so do let us know should this be something that you require.
Ellen & Billy are on site 24/7, so if there is anything else at all that you should need, then do just ask.
Breakfast at Cross Lane House is included in your room rate. It is a relaxed and informal time of day and we would love you to join us for a hearty start.
From fresh fruit salads to homemade granola and a cooked breakfast - our breakfasts are prepared to order and made from locally sourced ingredients.
Please do let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements and we will be more than happy to accommodate.
We like to serve our breakfasts between 8:00-09:15am in our Dining Room. If you need to get up and go, please just let us know.
We understand the importance of looking after our guests whilst also caring for the environment, which is why you can be sure you are in good hands with our choice of British made toiletries by Bramley.
Each of their products is lovingly crafted in the British countryside using only the finest natural ingredients, chosen for their different therapeutic properties. Essential oils are tied together with a citrus base which gives Bramley it’s unique and gorgeous signature scents.
Skin kind and cruelty free with no nasty chemicals, all the products use natural ingredients. With sustainability at its core, the packaging is fully recyclable and all ingredients are biodegradable and vegan.
We provide; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and hand cream in every room for you to use whilst you stay with us!
We have a large car-park on site that is free to use for our overnight guests and restaurant customers.
We don't currently have purpose build EV re-charging points. but we are always happy to run a power cable from one of our barns.
We are in a dark-night sky reserve so be aware that at night time we only have limited lighting within the car-park. We have torches that you are very welcome to use if you do need to pop to the car of an evening.
ENJOY A MORNING BREW WITH A VIEW
Are you a get-up-and-go kinda person? Someone who likes to start the day bright and early with a walk to catch the sunrise?
If it's due to be a beautiful morning during your stay with us, we'd be very happy to prepare a morning flask for you. There is a wonderful spot to sit and take in the beauty of the Exmoor & North Devon coastline just a short walk from Cross Lane House, before heading back for a hearty breakfast.
WHY SHOULD HUMANS HAVE ALL THE FUN?
With our fabulous countryside location, we consider Cross Lane House to make perfect dog-friendly getaway within the Exmoor National Park.
The Pluck and Fry Rooms are our dog-friendly rooms, which would be suitable to host one small to medium sized pooch. Do you have two? Please call us to discuss before making your booking!
A charge of £15 per dog per stay applies and includes a dog bed in the room, dog bowls, treats, bio-degradable doggie-doo bags, and a towel to use post wet walks!
You are welcome to relax in the bar and lounge with your pooch, but we ask that dogs are not taken into the restaurant.
DINING WITH US
Our Restaurant is usually open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening & Sunday Lunches. Please get in touch to confirm if you would like a dinner reservation whilst staying with us.
Staying with us earlier in the week? We offer guests a seasonal menu which can be enjoyed onsite with a tipple from the bar!
With Spring & Summer just around the corner - we are so excited to be able to offer a unique Al Fresco dining experience to guests, as they can dine under our historic Linhay which overlooks our cobbled courtyard.
